A mum has detailed her heartbreak after she accidentally discovered a Tinder notification on her fiancé’s phone.
The Australian woman shared her dilemma on social media explaining how the notification randomly popped up on her partner’s lock screen when she tried to move his phone away from their two-year-old child.
However, her fiancé denied cheating on her because he deleted the dating app from his phone ages ago.

“His response was, ‘I don’t have Tinder, I haven’t for a long time’,” she said anonymously in a Facebook group.
“He opened his phone and showed me he doesn’t have the app and it’s uninstalled.”
According to Tinder users, you don’t get notifications from the dating app if you don’t have it installed.

“He said I can look at his phone anytime,” she explained.
But the mum pointed out the discovery was “not the first time”.
“I’m angry at myself for giving more chances than I should,” she said.
“Now here I am again in the same situation.”
Her post was met with more than 300 comments — with many claiming her man was not telling the truth.
“It’s installed, it’s just hidden somewhere,” one suggested.
Another shared: “I just uninstalled Tinder — you don’t get any notifications — he’s lying.”
Many suggested the dating app may be hiding in a secret folder somewhere in his phone.
“The app might be in a secret folder… Definitely can not get notifications without out the app. He may have deleted app but still have account hence notifications and emails will be in his email too,” one said.
While another explained: “iPhone user since 2011 and girl you have to have the app to get notifications so he’s gaslighting you and making you question yourself and that’s a big no no. We aren’t having that.
“With iPhones you can create different ‘folders’ where all your apps go and it’s most likely in there. Some apps can hide your apps through pretending to be something else. Please do not be fooled by his response.
“Whether this is the first or not, this is a breach in your trust and that’s not ok.”
And the plot thickens after many suggest Tinder only shows up if the account has been active within seven days.

Her story comes after a woman shared details of how she began noticing Tinder notifications on her boyfriend’s phone.
“I saw two notifications. I couldn’t tell what kind of notifications they were as it was on the lock screen,” she said in a Reddit thread.
“I asked him about it and he said he had deleted the app but for some reason he was still getting notifications. A day later he comes to me to show it was deleted and after that there was no more notifications.
“He has lied to me before and he absolutely hates it when I even touch his phone. He says he just likes his privacy.”
However, a majority of people broke the news to the woman — confirming her boyfriend was in fact still using the dating app.
“He’s lying to you. He’s just moved or hid the app, but has chosen not to turn off notifications. He still has an account and the app, he’s just playing you. Or, that’s how it seems to me at least,” one said.
Another added: “He’s lying… Weird protectiveness over a phone is always a big giant red flag.”
