A single woman who called on internet sleuths to find a “drop dead gorgeous” stranger she met at her retail job has managed to track him down two weeks later.
Brittany was working in Canberra when she locked eyes with a “beautiful” man wearing a white “country hat”, a flannelette button-up shirt, jeans and a jacket while holding a David Jones bag.

“I need your help to find a man,” the 30-year-old said in a now-viral video.
“I only noticed him because he had a country hat on and I thought, ‘Canberra people don’t really wear country hats out and about so he’s definitely from the country’.
”This man was stunning. He had blue eyes, gorgeous hair. I’m single and I’m 30. I said to my friend, ‘I would marry that man today’, he’s beautiful’.”

Brittany said the man had asked her about an item he wanted to buy but she suggested trying online because her store didn’t stock it.
“Anyway, we have a cute interaction, like our eyes were locked, and then he leaves,” she explained.
Just as she thought he would never see him again, the man returned to the store in the afternoon.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is my chance… this is the universe telling me I need to go and approach this man again’,” she said.
“So I go up to him and I’m like, ‘Hey, did you end up finding what you were looking for?’ And he was like, ‘No I wasn’t able to find it.’
“I was about to ask him, ‘Are you open (to dating)?’ and just as I get there, this lady comes up to me and she’s like, ‘Hey, can I get a shoe size?’.”
As she helped the woman find appropriate shoes, Brittany watched as the man walked out the door – never to return.
“That was my one opportunity,” she said wistfully.
‘I need all the FBI girls’
After the two brief encounters, Brittany called on internet sleuths to help her find the handsome stranger.
“I need all the FBI girls in here to search for him,” she said.
“If you know a man and he’s not from Canberra, he’s from the country, (and) who wore a white country hat on October 12, I need your help.
“This man was stunning. And I just want to tell him how beautiful he was.
“Do your thing. Help me. If you know someone, let me know.”

Two weeks later, Brittany shared an “update we’ve all been waiting for”.
“It’s just been absolutely overwhelming and so unreal,” she said.
“But I do have an update for you guys.
“So basically, it was a Friday afternoon and I received an Instagram message from someone that wasn’t him but knew him.
“Long story short, they said that he’s seen the video. He isn’t on social media, but wanted to connect.”
Brittany was a “bit sceptical at first” but after finding out more details, she realised it was the man she was looking for.
“Lo and behold, I was able to get his number,” she said.
‘We found country boy’
Brittany and her instant crush had a phone conversation.

“So basically he is 29. He is from the country. He is single and, without giving too much of his personal details away, once he comes back to Canberra, we will be meeting up for a drink,” she told her followers.
When she spoke to the man, he said he was feeling a “bit overwhelmed with the situation” but he was keen to take her out for a date.
“It’s just been absolutely incredible and amazing to reconnect with him again,” she gushed.
“He’s so kind, so funny and so down to earth, which is really lovely.
“Thank you everyone who reached out to help.
“We did solve the case of the missing country boy and it all worked out for the best.
“So just goes to show anything can happen.”
